The Speakers Corner, located in the heart of the Centrum Industrial IT (CIIT), is a modern hub that blends high-tech innovation with an inspiring atmosphere. Situated within this premier Science-to-Business center, it offers the ideal space for networking, presentations, and workshops for up to 30 people.

Equipped with state-of-the-art media technology—including a large screen, audio system and microphones—the area is perfectly prepared for professional sessions. A vertical green wall provides a refreshing, natural ambiance, fostering creativity and the exchange of social skills. It is a place where technology meets human interaction, allowing future-oriented ideas to be discussed in a relaxed yet professional setting.

The Fraunhofer Institute in Lemgo is a leading research partner for companies and cities in the fields of smart automation and intelligent infrastructure.

Located in the heart of the leading-edge cluster region (it's OWL), Fraunhofer IOSB-INA supports manufacturers of automation technology, machine and plant engineers, as well as operators and users of intelligent technical systems in their digital transformation – through research and development collaborations and through customized support and training programs. Approximately 100 people work at the Fraunhofer Institute in Lemgo. SmartFactoryOWL and Lemgo Digital are two outstanding real-world laboratories for the use of intelligent technical systems in the factory of the future and the digital city.

Smart Factory OWL

Located in Lemgo, SmartFactoryOWL serves as a premier research and demonstration center for industrial digitalization. Operated as a joint initiative between the TH OWL and Fraunhofer IOSB-INA, it provides a 2,000 m² real-world laboratory where Industry 4.0 concepts are rigorously tested.

The facility bridges the gap between academic research and industrial application by hosting advanced testbeds for digital twins, machine learning, and human-machine collaboration. It offers an open ecosystem for SMEs and international researchers to validate smart production technologies under controlled yet realistic conditions, effectively accelerating the transfer of digital innovation into global manufacturing standards.

InnovationSpin

The InnovationSPIN at the Innovation Campus Lemgo is a pioneering joint project between craftsmanship, academia, and the regional economy. Covering approximately 12,000 square meters, this striking building provides a unique platform for interdisciplinary knowledge exchange between the TH OWL, the District Craftsmanship Association, and the District of Lippe.

As a flagship Think Tank for the Regionale 2022, it drives digital transformation within SMEs and traditional crafts. Through shared workshops, laboratories like the GESTALT.BAR, and co-working spaces, it develops innovative solutions for real-world challenges. The InnovationSPIN serves as a vibrant ecosystem, networking education and research to sustainably strengthen the future of the rural region.
